Thank you for taking the time to visit this page. There tends to be a lot of confusion about what a wellness coach is and what we do. Here is a FAQ list filled with typical, and VERY logical, questions I find myself answering throughout the day about the details of my practice.



Q: What is a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach or Certified Wellness Coach?

A certified holistic wellness coach is a professional who serves as a guide and works with people who want to improve their overall health, well-being and life or works with those who already have health risks, chronic conditions, or disease, to motivate a change in their behavior and lifestyle to improve their wellness.

This includes a more integrative approach, helping people through lifestyle changes, self-care, improving eating habits by teaching holistic nutrition fundamentals, working on natural weight loss, increasing physical activity in fun ways, teaching stress management skills, and navigating chronic disease/conditions. Holistic Wellness Coaches draw on holistic solutions and natural methods to bring about lasting lifestyle changes for their clients.

Wellness coaching offers a unique perspective in the health field, as coaches use motivational interviewing and client-led methods to inspire healthy lifestyle changes. They can complement medical care by coaching clients through lifestyle changes prescribed by a physician or dietician, or simply offer accountability and inspiration for those who are ready to feel more vibrant by improving their health behavior.

Wellness Coaches are not licensed healthcare professionals and they don’t diagnose or treat diseases. 

Q: Is there a difference between wellness and health?

Some say health is when the physical body is “free from disease,” but I believe health and wellness are one and the same.  Both encompassing the WHOLE person and looking at an overall balance of a person’s physical, social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, environmental and occupational well-being. All parts affect the whole.

The World Health Organization (WHO) seems to agree and includes well-being (or wellness) in its definition of health stating: 

“A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being not merely the absence of disease.” 

Q: Who is wellness coaching for?

Wellness coaching is for any human being who is currently meeting challenges that affect their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. If you find yourself answering YES to any of the following statements below, you’re an excellent candidate for my wellness coaching in particular.

  • You are tired of feeling like life is “just happening to you”
  • You feel like every day you try to do all the “right things”, yet still you’re unhappy or feel unhealthy?
  • You are tired of being tired all the time or wake up in the morning still exhausted
  • You frequently experience brain fog or forgetfulness
  • You struggle with cravings (whether it be food, alcohol, drugs, social media, etc)
  • You are stressed more often than not
  • You feel anxious, burned out, depressed, or unhappy, more than half of your most recent days
  • You can’t lose weight and you’ve tried several different methods
  • Your mood and discontent impact your relationships
  • You can’t remember the last time you did something for you
  • You feel like it’s impossible to get healthy
  • Your “to do” list is never ending
  • You feel you can’t give 100% to anything in your life
  • You have afternoon energy crashes
  • You have constant mom guilt and feelings of not being enough for your kids
  • You constantly think, “is this all there is to life?”

Q. What’s the difference between a wellness coach and a therapist?

Wellness coaches are NOT licensed mental health professionals. If you are looking to unravel deep trauma, feeling harm to self or others, or are experiencing significant mental health challenges, I would highly encourage seeking a therapist for work either independent of wellness coaching or together with.

As a coach, I ask a lot of powerful questions that require you to reflect and challenge your current discomfort or resistance. The goal is to get to the ROOT causes of your challenges. Together, we create a plan for small shifts that can be implemented in your life, right away. Blending wellness coaching and therapeutic interventions along with your expertise in yourself, we work together to determine what it is that next step that will create sustainable and long-term change.



Q. What do your coaching programs look like?

We will first set up a 30-45 minute 1:1 discover session via zoom to discuss your current challenges, goals and interest in the course. I will ask a series of questions to get to know you more and open it up for your questions. This way we get to feel each other out and make sure we are a good fit to work together. Once you have registered and before our first formal session, you will receive access to your personal client account and a link to join the private STRENGTH IN MOTHERS online community and exclusive private group. You will then meet with me every other week through a secure Zoom session. 

As a team, we will work together, taking a deep look at what’s been holding you back from stepping into the most authentic and confident version of yourself. 

I will hold you accountable and support you emotionally during the entire process. You are not alone. Most importantly, I’m here to empower you to live the life you want. I give you all of my potent transformation tools to upgrade your habits, master your mindset, nourish your body, and rediscover your authentic self. Together we will decide on what steps you need to take next to take ownership of your wellness and to cultivate a deep love for yourself so that you can start living on purpose each and every day.

Q. I’m already so busy not to mention exhausted and overwhelmed, how can I manage adding more to my plate?

First ask yourself what it will cost you to keep going just as you are. Remember you are desperate for change, and change doesn’t come easy. This is an investment in yourself and figuring out how to invest in yourself enough to get through the program is a great first step in beginning the transformation that lies ahead. Know that with any program you will get out what you put in. You are worth the investment and remember it is uniquely designed for busy moms like yourself.
