A Rhythm & Cycles Coach specializes in helping women align their daily routines with their menstrual cycle to improve their health and well-being. I break up a woman’s cycle into five powerful phases and align those phases with five different types of cycling for her to use throughout the month depending on which stage of her cycle she is in.

For women who do not have a menstrual cycle, have an irregular cycle, or are postmenopausal with lingering symptoms, I typically recommend following a lunar cycle. This means aligning their daily rhythm and routines with the phases of the moon, which can provide a similar structure to the menstrual cycle and support hormone balance.

However, for postmenopausal women who have no lingering symptoms, we can also explore other cycling options. I often recommend tracking their personal mood and energy levels to determine how best to cycle for their body after menopause. Based on this information, we may choose a specific type of cycling, or they can opt for a cycle of their choice that aligns with their needs and preferences.

Ultimately, the goal is to support each woman’s unique needs and rhythms, whether that means following a lunar cycle, a specific type of cycling, or a personalized approach based on their individual needs and goals. A certified holistic wellness coach is a professional who serves as a guide and works with people who want to improve their overall health, well-being and life or works with those who already have health risks, chronic conditions, or disease, to motivate a change in their behavior to improve their wellness.

This includes a more integrative approach, helping people through lifestyle changes, self-care, improving eating habits by teaching holistic nutrition fundamentals, working on natural weight loss, increasing physical activity in fun ways, teaching stress management skills, and navigating chronic disease/conditions. Holistic Wellness Coaches draw on holistic solutions and natural methods to bring about lasting lifestyle changes for their clients.

Wellness coaching offers a unique perspective in the health field, as coaches use motivational interviewing and client-led methods to inspire healthy lifestyle changes. They can complement medical care by coaching clients through lifestyle changes prescribed by a physician or dietician, or simply offer accountability and inspiration for those who are ready to feel more vibrant by improving their health behavior.

Wellness Coaches are not licensed healthcare professionals and they don’t diagnose or treat diseases. 

Some say health is when the physical body is “free from disease,” but I believe health and wellness are one and the same.  Both encompassing the WHOLE person and looking at an overall balance of a person’s physical, social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, environmental and occupational well-being. All parts affect the whole.

The World Health Organization (WHO) seems to agree and includes well-being (or wellness) in its definition of health stating: 

“A state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being not merely the absence of disease.” 

Wellness coaches are NOT licensed mental health professionals. If you are looking to unravel deep trauma, feeling harm to self or others, or are experiencing significant mental health challenges, I would highly encourage seeking a therapist for work either independent of wellness coaching or together with.

As a coach, I ask a lot of powerful questions that require you to reflect and challenge your current discomfort or resistance. The goal is to get to the ROOT causes of your challenges. Together, we create a plan for small shifts that can be implemented in your life, right away. Blending wellness coaching and therapeutic interventions along with your expertise in yourself, we work together to determine what it is that next step that will create sustainable and long-term change.

My coaching programs and community are for any woman who is currently meeting challenges that affect their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.   • You can’t remember the last time you did something for you
  • You feel like it’s impossible to get healthy
  • Your “to do” list is never ending
  • You feel you can’t give 100% to anything in your life
  • You have afternoon energy crashes
  • You constantly think, “is this all there is to life?”

First ask yourself what it will cost you to keep going just as you are. Remember you are desperate for change, and change doesn’t come easy. This is an investment in yourself and figuring out how to invest in yourself enough to get through the program is a great first step in beginning the transformation that lies ahead. Know that with any program you will get out of this program what you put in. You are worth the investment and remember it is uniquely designed for busy moms like yourself.

Practicing better habits and aspiring for true transformation daily with the continual support of a committed, united group will help you achieve results faster and easier. It means you can’t give up on yourself. And when you choose not to give up on yourself, the possibilities are endless.
